Assisted client to develop and execute a program to refurbish obsolete computers and donate to low income families.  Enhanced image of client as a good corporate citizen and avoided any potential impact on the environment.  Avoided thousands of dollars in disposal costs.
  • Annually recycle 130,000 gallons of acetone at one plant alone.  Facilitated designation as a non-hazardous waste and saved on disposal and reporting costs.
  • Converted obsolete/surplus sulfuric acid to beneficial reuse.  Kept the acid from hazardous management regulations.
  • Reduced a company’s regulatory status to that of a Conditionally Exempt Small Quantity Generator by diverting lead contaminated scrap for use as a feedstock in an alloy manufacturing operation.
  • Reduced client costs by discovering an alternative use for Refractory Brick.  The brick was previously being disposed of in a landfill.  This new use reduced cost and diverted 220,000 pounds from the landfill.
  • Helped client divert 38,000 pounds of Low Density Poly Ethylene (LDPE) from landfill disposal and earn recycling rebates.
  • Redesigned and negotiated solid waste management system for major automobile manufacturing facility.  This resulted in annual savings of $70,000 and the ability to reassign union personnel within the plant.
